A timid, stuttering, girl-shy tailor – the author of The Secret of Making Love – falls in love with a rich girl, and goes to great lengths in order to save her honour, in Lloyd’s delightful romantic comedy, a richly textured, beautifully paced, and thoroughly entertaining film, which slowly builds to a fantastic, action-packed climax.
